'Dave is a master instrumentalist.  In Kelly, He play the banjo, guitar (acoustic and electric), mandolin, fiddle, bones, bodhran and he’s been known to sing a song or two.   Dave also plays many styles of music, including blues, rock, Irish, Scottish, old time and bluegrass.  At the present time, he plays in a blues band called Night Train and occasionally with Jim Cosgrove a children’s’ musicians.   

Dave is a veteran of Irish music since 1980, after joining Talisman, the only Irish band in KC at that time. In 1982 he was a founding member of Scartaglen and has played Irish music off and on in many other groups. In more recent years, Dave recorded a CD with his band, Blackthorne.  He has also been featured on Gerald Trimble's, "First Flight", and Tom Schroeder's, "An Artistic Autoharp" and Jim Cosgrove's series of children's CDs.   He is also a fiddle instructor in Turlach Boylan’s KC school of Irish Music.
