Gordon Bearss is a native of Olathe Kansas. He began his music career at Emporia State University in the early 70’s in music as a major and he loves all things strings.  

Gordon spent six years with world renowned artist Gerald Trimble touring the United States, while also playing with the Cow Town Ceili Band.  During this time, Gordon and Gerald had the honor of participating in the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh Scotland. It’s a memory Gordon still cherishes to this day. 

Gordon has also performed with the group New Grange, a mix of Celtic and American folk, the Rag and Bone Band, Nile Mile Burn and until recently The Shortleaf Band and Roscommon.

Gordon is a mass of energy on stage.  As he moves from instrument to instrument, he proves his abilities on each one.  They say it’s hard to get a steady photo of him because he is always in motion.  Gordon adds the final element to the bands’ energy.
